A freshman at North Carolina's Duke University who went public with her career as a porn actress said the job is "something I absolutely love," UPI reported. The student, who identified herself to the campus newspaper and online magazine xoJane as "Lauren," said she started doing pornography as a way to raise funds for her education, the Raleigh (N.C.) News & Observer reported Thursday.

The agency also reported that the student began giving interviews about her porn work after her identity was outed by another student on Twitter. She said there was a significant boost in attention for her Twitter feed during winter break. Lauren reportedly said she identifies as a feminist and her political views lean libertarian. She said she hopes to one day be a human rights lawyer.
